We hope everyone had a great summer.....it's hard to believe that it's almost over. We were busy here at Hillsborough, Village Pointe and Spring Valley Dental seeing a ton of kids and getting them ready for school with that "back to school" dental check-up. One thing that did happen over the summer is Hillsborough, Village Pointe and Spring Valley Dental gained a new associate, Dr. Max Wasserburger! Dr. Wasserburger is originally from Minnesota and was a Creighton undergrad and dental school graduate. His enthusiasm and passion for dentistry made him the perfect choice for our office and he has already developed quite a following at all three of our locations. It's been an exciting and crazy 1st quarter for the Hillsborough group!! We have been fortunate enough to be able to expand our group to include a new office, Spring Valley Dental Center. This new office is located right on 72nd street near Q in a great little area just on the cusp of Ralston. Dr. Demman is proud of offer the same outstanding services of both Hillsborough and Village Pointe, but in a great mid-town location. This new location expansion has also included an expansion is our staff. We are fortunate to have added four fantastic ladies to our team. They all have a love for the office and their patients and are excited about growing and working hard! You'll meet Susan at the front desk....she runs the ship and keeps all the patients and team members happy. Crystal, our hygienist is a delight and our patients really enjoy seeing her. Regina and Cindy work with Dr. Demman in the clinical area and keep everything in the back running smoothly. Having a team that shares our philosophy in patient care is the first step for a great office and we are well on our way! posted by Jennifer at 8:58 AM 0 comments Wednesday, February 4, 2009 New Face at Hillsborough Good Afternoon! A few of you may have noticed a new face around Hillsborough for the past couple of months. Michelle (pictured on the left) has taken over Jessica's position as Dr. Saumelson's assistant. Jessica (pictured on the right) recently moved to Washington D.C. with her Air Force enlisted husband Bob, who was promoted to a position at the Pentagon. While it was sad for us to see Jessica go, it was a great opportunity for their family. And we were fortunate enough to find a great replacement for her! Michelle has fit right in to our little group since day one. We hope everyone had a great Christmas! Our doctors and team enjoyed an extra-long weekend to spend with family...which is always nice! Both Hillsborough and Village Pointe are back to business this week, doing our best to accommodate all of our patients who'd like to get in before the end of the year. I mentioned last time that we had some exciting news to share...and it's finally o.k. to let the cat out of the bag. The Hillsborough Dentistry family had three Best of Omaha wins! The office won the Best Family Dentist category, which is such an honor...especially since this was a new voting category. Dr. Jay Samuelson made it to the winner's circle in the Best Cosmetic Dentist category and Dr. Greg Samuelson also made it to the winner's circle in the Best Orthodontist category. The whole team would like to thank all of our wonderful patients that took the time to vote for us! This is the best complement that we could receive. That's what the Hillsborough team did this past Friday. Our generous doctors gave us some spending money and a time limit (typical boys!) with strict instructions only to spend the money on something for ourselves. No buying Christmas presents or things for the kids! To keep everyone honest, receipts and change had to be turned back in. We did have some change turned in so it will be donated to one of our neighborhood Salvation Army red kettles. We then enjoyed a late lunch at a local restaurant. We have a fantastic group of girls and this was a nice break to our usual busy holiday schedule. No...this isn't something we do every Friday. We were actually celebrating some exciting news our office received. What was is? For those of you that have ever had a toothache, you know that tooth pain can be the worst!! And calling a dental office only to be told that they can see you next week for that tooth pain is the last thing you want to hear! That won't happen when you call Hillsborough or Village Pointe.
