![]() For some patients, dental implants may offer additional options for replacing missing teeth. Dental Implants are fused to the jawbone and serve as a foundation for individual replacement teeth, bridges or a denture. To see if you’re a candidate for dental implants, we’ll evaluate your gum health and if you have adequate bone to support the implant. Mini dental implants (MDIs) are one of the latest implant solutions and can be done in one office visit using local anesthesia. These titanium implants serve as roots of your teeth and are fixed into the base of your denture. The denture is seated on the head of the implant, resting on the gum tissue. Your implant will be remarkably strong and able to withstand the natural lifting motions involved in chewing.
