	Dental extraction, or removing a tooth, may be performed for different reasons. Decay may have destroyed the tooth’s structure, not making restoration an option. Sometimes, impacted wisdom teeth will have to be extracted, as will teeth in a mouth that requires more space for orthodontic treatment. A simple extraction, one that involves removing a tooth that’s visible and above the gum line, can be performed with local anesthetic in our office.
