Dr. Jay Samuelson
Omaha Dentist, Dr. Jay Samuelson is not only a popular family and general dentist but also a Best of Omaha award-winning cosmetic dentist. Dr. Samuelson is a graduate of the elite Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) where he has combined his artistic ability, technical skills, caring demeanor and compassionate care to become one of Omaha’s preferred cosmetic dentists.
Dr. Samuelson is a Nebraska native who grew up in Kearney, Nebraska and graduated from Kearney State. He went on to graduate from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 1994. After working in an associate position, Dr. Samuelson saw the need for dental care in the newly expanding Northwest Omaha area and opened Hillsborough Family Dentistry in 1996. What started as a small, two employee, neighborhood dental office has grown to the current four doctor, two location practice. While the practice has grown, it has still maintained the feel as the “neighborhood dentist” where the team still enjoys getting to know their patients. This is large in part due to Dr. Samuelson’s vision and excellent leadership.
When he’s away from the office, Dr. Samuelson and his wife Gina keep busy with their 5 children. While he also enjoys playing tennis and traveling, Dr. Samuelson particular looks forward to his yearly ski trip.
Dr. Jeff Garvey
Omaha General Dentist, Dr. Jeffrey Garvey is Hillsborough’s complete mouth expert with significant experience with dentures, partial dentures, implants and extractions. He has done post-graduate studies in dental implants including the newest technology, Mini-Dental Implants (MDI’s). Dr. Garvey’s extensive experience allows him to offer not only the best dental options for his patients, but also the best options to fit their lifestyle. Dr. Garvey’s talents in these expanded areas of dentistry help to put Hillsborough’s “under one roof” philosophy into practice. Patients can enjoy the benefits of these procedures without having to visit another office.
Dr. Garvey is a lifelong resident of Omaha. A graduate of Creighton Prep High School, he attended Creighton University and received a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in 1978. He went on to graduate from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 1982. He started and maintained several successful practices in Iowa before joining Hillsborough in 1998. His level of experience and personable manner have helped grow the practice into one of Omaha’s most successful and well-respected in the community.
Dr. Garvey and his wife Shelia live in mid-town Omaha with 3 of their 5 children who are still at home. When he’s not busy with the kids, Dr. Garvey enjoys traveling and golf.
Dr. Brian Pendley
A Millard North graduate, Nebraska Cosmetic Dentist, Dr. Brian Pendley graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science degree. He went on to graduate from the University of Nebraska School of Dentistry in 1999.
Dr. Pendley joined Hillsborough Dentistry in 2001 after working as an associate in West Point, Nebraska. Dr. Pendley was a perfect fit at Hillsborough for both the staff and the patients. His knowledge with full service dentistry, expanded experience with root canals and his desire to give each and every patient personalized attention have rapidly given him the reputation as one of Omaha’s preferred dentists.
Listening to the needs of their patients, the doctors saw the need to expand the office to include a satellite location. Dr. Pendley was instrumental in the construction and design of Village Pointe Dentistry, a beautiful, smaller extension of Hillsborough, where he currently works four days a week. This additional location, in the popular Village Pointe area, offers both new and existing patients another location that may be closer to work or home. While visiting Dr. Pendley and the rest of the team at the Village Pointe office, you will be treated with the same exceptional care that you have either heard about or come to know and trust.
In his time away from the office, Dr. Pendley loves spending time with his wife, Holly, and their two children. He is also is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys fishing and hunting.
Dr. J. R. Demman
Hillsborough Cosmetic Dentist, Dr. J.R. Demman is the newest addition to the Hillsborough Dentistry family. Dr. Demman was born and raised in Bellevue, Nebraska and graduated from Mount Michael Benedictine in Elkhorn. He attended Creighton University for both undergraduate and dental school and graduated in 2005.
He is a caring and experienced dentist that provides a wide variety of services for his patients. His experience ranges from fillings and crowns to root canals and extractions. Dr. Demman takes a great deal of pride in staying up to date with the latest and greatest techniques and technologies to provide the most comprehensive and comfortable care for his patients. Dr. Demman’s exceptional education, clinical experience and personal dedication to improving his patients’ dental health have made him an outstanding addition to the Hillsborough Team. His caring chairside manner and attention to detail allows him to bring outstanding health and beauty to the smiles of each and every patient.
Dr. Demman and his wife, Alyson, have two young children, Carson and Addison. When he’s not spending time with his family, you can find Dr. Demman cheering on the Huskers, on the golf course or out for a run.
Dr. Greg Samuelson
– Orthodontist
Three to four days a week the Hillsborough doctors and team have the pleasure of opening our office to Hillsborough Orthodontist, Greg Samuelson, DDS, MSD, and his fantastic staff. By inviting an orthodontist into our practice to see patients, it allows the orthodontic referral process to be easy and convenient. While they are a separate practice, we are able to work with them closely to obtain records, discuss treatment and coordinate appointments. Our patients enjoy the ease of not having to go to a separate office for their orthodontic treatment.
Orthodontic treatment for children and adults has become an important avenue for obtaining optimal dental health. Crooked and crowded teeth can be hard to clean and maintain. This can result in gum disease, tooth decay and even tooth loss. Other orthodontic problems can contribute to heavy wear on tooth surfaces, less than ideal chewing function or misalignment of the jaw joints. These can lead to chronic headaches and face or neck pain. Orthodontic treatment by Dr. Greg can be more cost effective than the additional care required to treat dental problems that could arise as a result of orthodontic problems. And for all of our orthodontic patients, their beautiful smile is the most obvious benefit of Dr. Greg’s treatment!
Dr. Greg Samuelson attended high school in Kearney, Nebraska and received his bachelor’s degree from Kearney State College. He went on to receive his dental degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1985. He went on to receive his M.S.D at Indiana University in 1987. He is a member of the American Board of Orthodontics, the American Association of Orthodontists and is currently on staff at Creighton University and University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Greg and his wife Carolyn live in Omaha with their 4 children and 3 dogs.
Dr. Scott Seiler – Pediatric Dentist
In our effort to keep all of your family’s dental care needs under one roof, Hillsborough is fortunate to have Dr. Scott Seiler on staff to treat our youngest patients. As a Pediatric Dentist, he is specially trained for the unique health needs of children with an emphasis in prevention and early care. His easy-going personality and extensive training make him uniquely suited to treat toddlers to teens. We want children to require as little dental treatment needed as possible, but when problems do arise and caguys ok with every is needed, we want them to experience as little anxiety as possible. Dr. Scott provides age-appropriate techniques and a child-friendly staff that will help make your child’s visit an enjoyable one.
Dr. Seiler is an Omaha native and a Burke High School graduate. He attended the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry with minors in mathematics and finance. He stayed in Lincoln and completed dental school at the UNL Medical Center graduating in 2001. Dr. Scott and his wife, Jacque, moved to Minneapolis where he worked as an associate for a private dental group. He then returned to Omaha to attend the University of Nebraska Medical Center where he completed a 1 year hospital dentistry fellowship and a 2 year pediatric dental specialty residency.
Dr. Scott and Jacque enjoy the urban life in their home in downtown Omaha. They keep active with traveling, golfing and, of course, Husker football!
